316L SS FLAT BAR
Stainless steel bars are a core component of industrial machinery. Stainless steel can be formed in various shapes, like flat, hexagonal, round, and square. Shapes and Grade of stainless steel bars determine the area of application. 316 is austenitic steel with a content of molybdenum in the presence of high chromium and nickel. Grade 316L is a low carbon version of grade 316 and is used to avoid possible corrosion in welded works. 316L Stainless Steel Flat Bar is a demanding product of the industry. Flat bars are long rectangular shaped metal with square edges with varying lengths and thicknesses. The Flat Bar can be either Hot Rolled Annealed and Pickled (HRAP) or Cold Drawn. For HRAP, steel is rolled hot and then strengthened. This step ensures to provide significant protection against high corrosion. The advanced step is Pickling; steel is submerged in compound solution to remove residual marks from the surface. Typically, Cold drawn flat bars are produced by drawing the metal to the preferred shape and thickness. The whole process takes place at room temperature; therefore it is called Cold Working Process. Cold Drawn flat bars are more precise and possess a better surface finish than hot-rolled flat bars. Grade 316 flat bars are widely used in machine tool equipment, wood-working machines, instruments and meters, construction machines, and architecture.
