Material Testings

TESTING FACILITIES AVAILABLE AT OUR QUALITY ASSURANCE LABORATORIES

100% Ultrasonic Testing of internal defects

Ultrasonic testing is most common non destructive testing method performed on materials. The material is to be testing does not need to be cut or exposed to damaging chemicals. It is a technique used to detect internal cracks/defects within the product/material i.e steel bars by sending short wavelength sound waves of high and low frequency through the test material. There are no health hazards associated with it.This test ensures that bars are free from any internal defects.

Hydrogen/Oxygen / Nitrogen Testing thru LECO analyzer

LECO Combustion Analysis is used to detect low levels of carbon, sulfur, nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen (from .0002 to .05 percent, depending upon the sample type).

Optical Emission Spectrometers

Instrument that is used to determine the chemical composition of elements present in a sample by using the intensity of light emitted from a arc, or spark at a particular wavelength to determine the quantity of an element in a sample. It is used to identify the various elements i.e C,Si,Mn,P,S,Cr,Mo,Ni,Cu etc.

The wavelength of the spectral lines gives the identity of the element while the intensity of the emitted light is directly proportional to the number of atoms of the element.

Carbon Apparatus

Apparatus used to detect the amount of carbon present in steels.

Radiation Servo Meter

Radiation Survey meters are portable radiation detection and measurement instrument for radioactive contamination ,used to identify the cobalt isotopes. It is the most familiar hand held radiation measuring device.

Bar Straightness Testing

Surface Roughness Testing

Bars out-of-roundness testing

Material Identification Testing through mobile handheld spectrometers

Portable Spectrometer is a device used for spectroscopic analysis of elemental composition of material to identify or differentiate them.
